Theodore Roosevelt Ellis, 91, of Snellville, GA, passed away Tues, Sept 11, 2012, in Embracing Hospice. A World War II naval veteran, Ted loved plants and flowers and worked many years at Pine Mountain’s Callaway Gardens before retiring as a gardener for the Georgia Building Authority in Atlanta. Surviving Ted are his wife of 33 years, Anne Hallman Ellis, formerly of Sanford, NC; his sister Minnie Ellis Whitaker of Pine Mountain, GA; 17 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and faithful friends. He belonged to Snellville First United Methodist Church and loved Bible study with its members. Ted and Anne also enjoyed the company of many loving dogs and cats, and Ted received dogs as visitors during hospice care. Memorial services will occur at Snellville First United Methodist on Hwy 78 on Sat, Sept 15, 2012, at 11 AM.
