New grocery store seeks employees

WINDER -- National grocer ALDI plans to fill 50 to 70 openings for cashiers, shift managers and manager trainees at stores within metro Atlanta, including a new location in Winder.

The company has scheduled hiring events at the following locations and times:

Hampton Inn Fayetteville, 110 Meeting Place Drive, Fayetteville, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Comfort Suites Northlake, 2060 Crescent Center Blvd., Tucker, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.; Brawner Hall, 3180 Atlanta Road SE, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Jim Ellis Buick GMC Mall of Georgia breaks ground

BUFORD -- Jim Ellis Buick Mall of Georgia broke ground Aug. 15 on 12 acres the business purchased near the mall. The new dealership is scheduled to open in 2013.

Currently located at 4228 Buford Drive, the business serves the Greater Atlanta area providing sales, service and parts for Buick, GMC, Pontiac and general maintenance on all makes and models.

These are not high paying, highly skillled jobs This type of job does not pay much over minimum wage at the least. What we need is more skilled jobs and manufactoring jobs. like one said 'a job is a job until another one becomes available.'

And in the meantime, along with a little money you acquire experience, people skills and a job reference, more thatn you'd get occupying Wall Street.
