CHAMBLEE BULLDOGS (6-AAAA)
Coach: Allen Johnson

Another week, another big school opponent for Class AA Greater Atlanta Christian. The unbeaten Spartans, who have defeated Stone Mountain (AAAA), Savannah (AAA) and Apalachee (AAAAA) already, get AAAA Chamblee, also unbeaten, tonight.
Kyle Scales, this week’s Touchdown Club of Atlanta back of the week for metro Atlanta, has put up big numbers this season and did it again last week with 234 rushing yards and four touchdowns against a pretty solid Apalachee defense. First-year GAC head coach Tim Hardy said the offensive line deserves plenty of credit for the big numbers of Scales and Micah Abernathy, who gained 82 yards on only nine carries last week. Both Andrew Bartolomei and Britt Lee (nine pancake blocks) were line standouts vs. Apalachee for an offense that has scored at least 31 points in every game this season.
Bartolomei also was a key contributor on defense a week ago along with Paul Carothers (13 tackles) and Ross Wood (11 tackles).
Chamblee, which beat Dunwoody 38-6 in the season opener, has several playmakers on offense, including Dezmin Reed and Deonte Boyland in the backfield.
When: Thursday, 7 p.m.
Last meeting: GAC won 23-6 in 1993
Directions to Adams Stadium: I-85 south to North Druid Hills Road exit. Turn left off exit and stadium is on the right.
