Local fencer third in Tar Heel Open

Wesley McDowell, a sophomore at Greater Atlanta Christian, placed third in the recent Tar Heel Open fencing competition in Chapel Hill, N.C.

McDowell earned his bronze in the Senior Mixed Saber Division. He trains with Nellya Fencers Club.
