DULUTH -- During Duluth's July 4 celebration, the city's fireworks display was rained out. It has been rescheduled for Sept. 22 after a free concert at the Duluth Festival Center Amphitheater.

For the Duluth Fall Festival concert, Duluth Roxie Watson takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. and headliner Livin' Large will conclude the show. The fireworks display will follow after the performance.

Why don't they hold off until election night and then we can celebrate Obama's loss.

We can undersatand what the city is doing on this issue. However this is in the middle of a residential neighborhood and business complex. In light of the recent accidents involving fireworks shows, as a matter of fact the fire department was called in one year to put out a fire at River Green July 4th event There should be a saftey factor built around this area. When you had it at River Green there was a rather large buffer there, maybe not so around this area. If this goes as planned it would be great but if there is an accident of any kind there will be problems. Not a very good idea.
