LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office will host a cyber safety training session for the public next month.
The "Cyber Safety Summit," announced this week, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 4. The intent of the free event is "to educate our community on how to protect Gwinnett's youth in today's technological world," officials said.
The program will include a live chat, a presentation about Internet crimes against children, and a question-and-answer session. It will be held in the auditorium at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.
"We are very excited to offer this presentation to our community and believe that the provided information will be of great value to those in attendance," said Candice Pitman, the director of the DA's victim witness program.
Those interested are asked to RSVP before Oct. 1 by emailing victimwitnessevents@gwinnettcounty.com or calling 770-822-8396.
