Carolyn Hicks of Huntsville, Ala., announces the engagement of her daughter, Karen Alisa Hicks of Nashville, Tenn., to Christian Michael Lawrence of Nashville, son of Robert and Diane Lawrence of Buford.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late James Shelby Hicks. She is a graduate of Grissom High School and the University of Alabama. She is the owner of Karen Alisa Photography.
The future groom is a gradute of Atlantic High School and Flagler College and is employed with Asurion as a project manager.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 15 at Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge.
