FLOWERY BRANCH — Authorities are investigating the drowning death of a man who tried to swim to an island in Lake Lanier.
Reports say that 25-year-old Kyle Miller of Doraville drowned near Van Pugh Park North on Monday afternoon. The Hall County marine rescue team recovered his body.
Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said Miller was swimming to an island with some friends when he went under the water.
