JACKSONVILLE — Authorities say one man was hospitalized and another was arrested after a fight during the Florida-Georgia football game in Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says police were flagged down Saturday afternoon and directed to a fight outside Everbank Field during the game's first half
Authorities say the hospitalized man was in stable condition Saturday night. The Florida Times-Union reports that the sheriff's office initially described the man's injuries as life-threatening.
The sheriff's office says no weapons were involved in the fight. Additional details about the fight and the men were not released. It was not clear what charges the man in custody is facing.
In 2005, a University of Florida student was beaten to death after that year's Florida-Georgia game. Three men were convicted in connection with that death.

Florida fans now cry like the players instead of fighting. It's safer that way.
