SUWANEE -- Police are seeking public assistance in a hit-and-run accident that happened early Friday morning on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road near Horizon Drive and Interstate 85. They released surveillance photos of a tractor-trailer that could have been involved.
Suwanee police responded to the scene about 10 minutes after midnight to find the victim, Daniel Cochling, of Sharpsburg, unconscious in the roadway.
Cochling is listed in stable condition at Gwinnett Medical Center, but due to his injuries, officers have been unable to speak with him, officials said.
Investigators released surveillance photos of the vehicle that could have struck Cochling -- a light-colored tractor-trailer, 53 feet long with a sleeper cab, police said.
The Suwanee Police Department asks anyone in the area Friday between midnight and 12:15 a.m. who could help identity the vehicle to call the department at 770-945-8995.
