Peter Dempsey
Peter Donald Dempsey, 78, of Sugar Hill, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2012. Born in Boston, MA, February 5, 1934, Peter enjoyed politics and old westerns. He is a veteran of The United States Army and served his country in the Korean War. Peter worked in the steel industry for over 50 years as an independent sales representative for two Japanese trading companies. Peter is survived by his son, Dr. Tommy Dempsey and his wife Dr. Eve Gidion. His daughter, Katy Dempsey Smolenski and his granddaughter, Taylor Marie Smolenski. His dog, Maggie. Peter was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann Dempsey. They are now together once more to dance the night away. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 3:00 pm immediately followed by a short service. Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040. Inurnment will be Tuesday, October 30th at 11:00 am at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Peter’s name to your choice of charity.
