ATLANTA — Police say a metro Atlanta teenager is expected to recover after being shot while leaving a high school football game.
The shooting happened Friday night near Banneker High School. Fulton County police say a group of boys leaving the football game got into some type of argument when someone pulled a gun an began shooting.
Cpl. Kay Lester, a police spokeswoman, says a 14-year-old student was shot and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. She says the teen's wounds were not life-threatening.
Lester says police arrested one person for having a weapon, but that person was not the shooter. No arrests had been announced Saturday morning.
