KENNESAW — Authorities say a suspect surrendered to police after a shooting that injured one person led to a police standoff in the Kennesaw area northwest of Atlanta.
Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce said that the suspect surrendered shortly before daybreak Friday.
Police say the injured person was taken to a hospital.
Residents living along Bozeman Lake Road said that police officers knocked on their doors at about 1:30 a.m. Friday, asking them to leave their homes and turn off their outside lights. Members of a Cobb County police S.W.A.T. unit then surrounded the home for much of early Friday morning.
