SNELLVILLE -- Gwinnett police on Wednesday released home surveillance images of men they believe cut a Snellville home's power during a daylight burglary last week -- but not before they were caught on tape.
During the Oct. 17 break-in on Brittany Oak Trace, one suspect was dressed in a hard hat and reflective vest like those worn by power company employees, the images show. Police have not identified the suspects. The homeowner told police two handguns were stolen from his master bedroom during the burglary. He'd gotten a call from his alarm company that morning while at work and asked a friend to check on his home, according to a police report.
The back door's glass had been shattered and the home searched.
A camera system installed on the property showed two black men approaching the house, peeking in windows and looking into the cameras before cutting off the home's power at an exterior power box, according to a police report.
Police urge anyone who recognizes the suspects or has further information on the case to call the Gwinnett County Police Department at 770-513-5209.
