DULUTH -- It's still October, but that doesn't mean you can't start planning for a season of holiday cheer.
In Duluth, the annual Artists in the Homes Tour is a December tradition that aims to showcase musicians, painters and culinary artists inside the houses of four different area residents.
Presented by the Duluth Fine Arts League, the event is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 8. The tour group is scheduled to assemble at 5:45 p.m. at the Duluth City Hall, allowing ticket holders to gather maps and information about each home before departing.
In addition, the merchants on Main Street will have their windows decorated for the Holiday Window Contest.
Tickets will go on sale Oct. 30 at the Duluth City Hall and at Ken Hardeman Fine Art Glass Studio. Both places are located in historic downtown Duluth on Main Street. Tickets are $20 each.
According to its website, the Duluth Fine Arts League promotes the arts "through marketing, outreach and educational initiatives; honors artistic achievement to students demonstrating a passion for the arts in all forms; serves as a bridge between individual arts patrons, the business community and corporate sponsors; hosts an artist's registry to help promote local artists; and serves as a community partner and resource for all interested in the arts and their enrichment."
