Local groups gather to clean Mill Creek

BUFORD -- On Oct. 13, Georgia Wildlife Federation Program Director Hank Ohme joined forces with the Philadelphia Winn Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and Boy Scouts from Troops 511 and 575 for a cleanup at Mill Creek Nature Center in Buford.

The groups picked up trash along the trails of the wetland sanctuary before the start of the annual Rivers Alive event.

During the event, Robert Hill from Zoo Atlanta displayed frog eggs, lizards and a snake as he educated the spectators about what he had found at the center.-- From staff reports
