K. Deanie Smith and James H. Wilburn of Hagerstown, Md., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley N. Wilburn of Springfield, Mass., to Giovanni G. Perez of Groton, Conn., son of Helene G. Perez of Bethlehem.
She is the granddaughter of Ernest M. Smith of Hagerstown and Mr. and Mrs. James H. Wilburn, of Charleston, W.Va. She is a 2006 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and a 2010 graduate of Loyola University, where she receieved a bachelor's degree in political science and history. She is pursuing a degree from Western New England University School of Law.
He is a 2006 graduate of Williamsport High School and received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the American Military University. He is enlisted with the United States Navy and is pursuing a master's degree in special education.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 19, 2013, at Green Grove Gardens in Greencastle, Penn.
