Dr. Ronald R. Brannon, age 84, of Lawrenceville, GA died peacefully at his home, Tuesday, October 16, 2012, following an extended illness. Born in Aberdeen, SD April 16, 1928, he was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. W.C. and Erma Brannon, and two brothers, Rev. Gerald Brannon and Mr. Walter Brannon. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Rosalee Carry Brannon, Lawrenceville, GA, a brother, Rev. Elmer Brannon, Bartlesville, OK; children Rhonda Storer (Ron), Dacula, GA, Rod Brannon (Mary), Lawrenceville, GA and Randall Brannon, Lawrenceville, GA; nine grandchildren in addition to 4 grandchildren by marriage, and seven great grandchildren. Listed in “Who’s Who in Religion”, Reverend Brannon spent 55 years in various church ministry positions of The Wesleyan Church, serving 20 years as local church pastor (Miltonvale and Wichita, KS), 15 years elected as Kansas District Superintendent, and 18 years as elected General Secretary of The Wesleyan Church World Headquarters (Marion and Indianapolis, IN). After retiring from denominational service in 2000, he served the Lakeview Wesleyan Church (Marion, IN) as Minister of Pastoral Care, until declining health forced his final retirement from full-time service in 2003. Upon moving to Georgia in 2006, he and his wife Rosalee attended 12Stone Church (Lawrenceville). Visitation is at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway in Lawrenceville (770-277-4550) on Friday 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, 10 am at 12Stone Church in Lawrenceville (main campus). A Godly man, our father, Ronald R. Brannon, leaves an amazing legacy to his family, and to the Lord’s service for which he was tireless. Well done faithful servant.
