Historian to speak in Snellville future of print

SNELLVILLE -- The Georgia Historical Society's Senior Historian Dr. Stan Deaton will speak at a Snellville Historical Society gathering 3 p.m. Sunday at the Snellville City Hall.

He is presenting "The Reading Life and the Future of the Book," which explores Deaton's lifelong love of reading and the future of the printed book in the digital age.

"This is by far the most personal talk I've ever given, for several reasons," said Deaton. "Snellville is the town where I grew up, and I'm passionate about books and the printed word and the power they have to transform our lives."

City Hall is located at 2342 Oak Road in Snellville.
