- Jordan Ellis, Peachtree Ridge
- Cam Lewis, North Gwinnett
- K.J. Parmer, Archer
821 total votes.
North Gwinnett running back Cam Lewis won online voting this week as the Daily Post's Fans Choice Player of the Week.
The senior running back got 47 percent of the vote to win a competition with Norcross' Lorenzo Carter (23 percent), Archer's K.J. Parmer (20 percent) and Peachtree Ridge's Jordan Ellis (11 percent).
Each week during the football season, the Daily Post will nominate four players for its Fans Choice Player of the Week. Online voting at www.gwinnettprepsports.com will begin Monday mornings and will end Thursdays at noon. The winner will be featured online and in the Friday print edition.
Lewis earned the honor after rushing for 118 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries, along with catching four passes for 26 yards, in last week's 47-28 win over Mill Creek.
"Since moving Cam to our one-back spot from the slot, he has really excelled," North head coach Bob Sphire said. "He has brought a physical presence to the position, and yet has the speed, along with the receiving ability, to make explosive plays in many ways for our offense."
