The Taliban -- self-proclaimed protectors of Islamic teachings, have committed yet another heinous and unforgivable crime by shooting a 14-year-old girl, Malala Yousufzai, because she was promoting education for Muslim girls. As Muslims, we strongly condemn this brutal attack on Malala. This crime is against Islamic teachings, which not only promote peace but also favor education for every single member of the society.
Prophet Mohammad promoted education saying, "The acquisition of knowledge is a duty incumbent on every Muslim, man or woman" and "Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave." This attack is a sheer disobedience of the Islamic teachings.
Islam also defines it as a great virtue to protect women of the society. Prophet Mohammad showed exemplary love for his daughters. He greeted his daughters by kissing their foreheads and offering them to sit in his own place. The Taliban's barbaric attack proves that their beliefs and practices are far from Islam.

Apparently not all Muslims agree with you! Besides, we do not know which ones here in the U.S. have your opinion or not.
