DULUTH -- Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful was named the best Keep America Affiliate in Georgia, it was announced on Monday. The award is presented by Keep Georgia Beautiful.The KBG panel of judges reviewed a field of applications from across the state, including DeKalb, Fulton and Cobb counties with a population of 500,000 and up.
The award was given due to the organization's litter prevention programs, waste reduction and recycling efforts, media and public awareness efforts, and community improvement program, to name a few things.
The award will be presented at the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation Awards Luncheon Nov. 2 at the Emory Conference Center Hotel.
