SUWANEE -- Scott Maxwell's 12-year-old football team held off a late surge from Dacula late last month to take a 6-0 win .
The victors used an 85-yard bootleg pass, from their own 15-yard line on fourth down, from Jimmy Urzua to Andrew Bond for the only touchdown of the game. In the fourth quarter, the North Gwinnett defense held Dacula off with less than a minute remaining in the game to take possession of the football on downs and ran the remaining time off the clock for the win.
The Bulldogs are coached by Scott Maxwell, Kip Cobb, Randy Place, Chris Stanley, Warren Jolly, Tom Ward and Glenn Northrup. The cheerleaders are led by Sharon Skolnick and Lorraine Lee.
