ATHENS -- Taylor Hardigree ran for 168 yards and three touchdowns as Athens Christian rolled up a big halftime lead en route to a 41-14 win over Hebron Christian at home on Friday night.
Hardigree had scoring runs 80, 64 and 8 yards and added a fumble return for a touchdown as the Eagles (3-4 overall, 2-1 in Region 8-A) built up a 27-0 lead after the first quarter and cruised.
Hebron did get a big night from freshman quarterback Connor Holliday, who completed 26 of 47 passes for 313 yards, including a 13-yard scoring strike to Tyler Matthews in the third quarter. Matthews finished with 13 receptions for 244 yards.
The Lions (1-5, 0-3) also got a 4-yard TD run from Noah Herrin in the fourth quarter.
