Nelson -- Glisson
Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson of Snellville announce the engagement of their daughter, Abigail Rebecca Nelson, of Snellville, to John Clayton Glisson of Atlanta, son of Shirley Rose Glisson of Auburn, Ala., and the late Wesley Clayton Glisson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Carole Nelson of Hightstown, N.J., and the late Jack Nelson and Patricia Rice of West Windsor, N.J., and the late Robert Rice. She is a graduate of Brookwood High School and Georgia Tech, where she received a degree in civil engineering and Harvard University, where she received a master's degree in education. She is employed with The New Normal Society nonprofit.
The future groom is the grandson of Frances Chambless Neugent of Lakeland, and the late John Vickers Neugent and Mr. and Mrs. Huey Glisson of Wrightsville. He is a graduate of Auburn High School and Georgia Tech, where he received a degree in mechanical engineering and is pursuing a doctorate degree.
The wedding is planned for April 2013 at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Lilburn.
