BERKELEY LAKE -- Since Peachtree Corners has become its own city, the residents have been celebrating month after month. This weekend, the inaugural Peachtree Corners Art Fest at Berkeley Lake kicks off Saturday in the next town over.
The art fest was moved to Berkeley Lake (across the street from Zaxby's, Chamblee Fence and B.A.A.B.A's.) because the original spot at Jay Bird Alley could not be closed to traffic.
No matter where the festival is located, there still will be more than 100 vendors selling arts and crafts, giving demonstrations and talking about their businesses.
There is a Kids Zone at the event where young people -- and anyone else who wants to play like a kid again -- can have a good time watching the live entertainment (magic shows and music performances by children), creating at crafting stations and hopping in inflatable jump houses.
During the two-day festival, there will be food vendors selling an array of cuisines and alcohol will be for sale. No outside alcohol is allowed into the event.
The art fest is hosted by Peachtree Corners Events, powered by Spincycle Sports, whose mission is to "create events that promote Peachtree Corners by creating opportunities for artists and vendors a venue to showcase their talents."
For additional information about the event, call 404-448-4701.
