LILBURN -- Now on its 39th year, the Lilburn Woman's Club and the city of Lilburn host the Lilburn Daze Arts and Crafts Festival as it returns to Lilburn City Park on Saturday.

As the name implies, there will be a wide variety of arts and crafts for attendees to browse through. Local artists will display pieces of art, jewelry, sculptures, hand-knitted scarves, puppets and other gift ideas as the holiday season edges closer.

"You will bedelighted at the huge variety of one-of-a-kind items that will be featured this year in more than 200 booths gathered together to celebrate the beginning of the fall season in historic downtown Lilburn," LWC member Pat Gabilondo said."It will be a great opportunity to find that perfect holiday gift that your friends and family just can't stop talking about."

Besides the artists market, there is a children's area set up with a complimentary "Make & Take" art pavilion, face painting, sand art, inflatables, pony rides and a wood-working table hosted by Home Depot. All of the kids that come through the area will receive a balloon and book. The books were collected through the LWC Education Program during the year.

For those who would rather sit in the sun, there will be an array of musical acts, including jazz, country, oldies and blues to perform on the main stage.

Since parking will be limited, there is a free shuttle service provided between the festival and the First Baptist Church and the Marketplace Shopping Center parking lot on U.S. Highway 29. Shuttle buses will be running all day.

In keeping with the LWC's theme of "Community Concern," all proceeds from Lilburn Daze are used to help fund projects and other community improvement activities for the upcoming year.
