Diane Alexander Clark, 65, of Sugarloaf Country Club, Duluth, Georgia, died October 9, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 12th at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Peachtree Corners. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 11th at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Mrs. Clark, a native of Albany, Georgia, was the owner and vice president of Discovery Point Franchising, Inc., a childcare franchising and development company located in Duluth, Georgia. Prior to founding Discovery Point with her husband, Cliff Clark, Mrs. Clark taught English for many years at Loganville High School in Loganville, Georgia and several other school systems in Georgia. Mrs. Clark held a BS in English and a Masters Degree in Education. She was named a Georgia Star Teacher as well as receiving numerous other teaching awards throughout her career. Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Cliff Clark of Duluth; mother, Carolyn Petrea of Sylvester, GA; and two sisters, Donna and W. N. Apperson and Rama Medders, all of Sylvester, GA.
