LAWRENCEVILLE -- In a tough economy it's difficult for many people to find a job, but the Gwinnett County Public Library is trying to help with the search.

As part of the GCPL's new JobSmart program, the library has teamed up with the Atlanta Regional Workforce Board to bring its Mobile Career Lab to Norcross and Lawrenceville two Mondays a month now through December.

The mobile jobs center has 13 computer stations and three job coaches to give advice to current job seekers.

Attendees have access to computer workstations, photocopying and printing, resume and interview skills assistance, resource materials for job searching and career guidance, and Workforce Investment Act training opportunities.

All of the stations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The traveling lab will be at the Norcross branch Oct. 29, Nov. 26 and Dec. 10. It stops by the Lawrenceville branch Nov. 12 and Dec. 3. The bus will be open from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.

The Norcross branch is located at 6025 Buford Highway and Lawrenceville's library is at 1001 Lawrenceville Highway.

JobSmart program is a customer service initiative focusing on career development services, resources and programs for jobseekers and entrepreneurs in the library setting.
