WERE YOU SPOTTED
LAWRENCEVILLE — Over the weekend, members of 12Stone Church held the annual Compassion in Action event, which provides the congregation an opportunity every October to unite as a church and reach out to meet the needs of the community.
There were 109 projects for the annual initiative -- from providing bikes to the needy children of Atlanta to sending off care packages to soldiers overseas -- and participants numbered more than 2,800 people assisting in projects throughout Gwinnett and Hall counties, culminating with a balloon release Saturday to kickoff the day's activities.
According to its website, 12Stone Church is "passionate about giving ourselves away in everything we do. It's our desire to inspire life, share life and give life by living on-mission and offering ministries designed with you in mind."
