The Norcross Police Department is sponsoring a 5K race to raise money to help those afflicted with cerebral palsy. C.H.U.K (Cops Helping Unique Kids) will be held Oct. 20 with the run going through downtown Norcross.
Following the race at 9 a.m. there will be a one-mile fun run and free family festival in Thrasher Park located at 93 Park Drive, Norcross, 30071. You can register for $20 at www.ucpga.org. For more information on sponsoring or about United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia, call Joan Rizzo at 770-676-2000, ext. 225 or via email at jrizzo@ucpga.org.
"The Norcross Police Department and City of Norcross are giving generously of their time and resources to host this wonderful event. They want to create a special experience for kids who do not always have opportunities to participate in community activities," said Executive Director Diane Wilush of United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia.
