KNOXVILLE -- Wesleyan fell behind three scores in the second half against the Webb School (Tenn.) and couldn't recover as the Wolves dropped a 45-31 decision Friday night.
In defeat, Wesleyan (3-3) received a strong offensive game from junior quarterback Will Anderson. Anderson completed 29 of 43 pass attempts for 278 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown for the Wolves.
Anderson's top targets on the night were senior Sam Carver and sophomore Jahmai Jones. Carver caught six passes for 78 yards while Jones hauled in 11 receptions for 143 yards and three touchdowns.
