Jimmy Darrell King, 72 of Roswell GA and Lakewood Ranch FL departed this life on October 1, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born on May 25, 1940 in Jackson GA, a son of the late Robert and Ida Lou Hodges King. Jim graduated from Jackson High School where he was voted Best Dressed and Best Looking in his class, and was a Graduate of Georgia Tech. Jim was a retired Builder and Developer in the Metro Atlanta Area, and was a member of The Atlanta First Baptist church; his hobbies included Fishing and Golf. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda Sturdivant King; a half brother and his wife, Robert King and Elizabeth Niciu, niece, Jessica King all of Columbia SC, step children Briggs and his wife Fabiana Allen , Johns Creek GA, Brett Allen, Roswell GA; brother in law and his wife, Roddy and Geneva Sturdivant, Stephens, GA; and Aunt Billie Moore and cousins of Jackson GA. Jim was a man of honor and integrity, and a loyal and honest friend. A service to celebrate the Life of Jim will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Roswell Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Diamond officiating. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Roswell Funeral Home in charge of Arrangements.
