LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Gwinnett Daily Post and the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Radiate Media are hosting a free seminar designed to teach the small business owner how to build a dominating presence in the digital world.
Spots for the seminar can be reserved by visiting www.createconnectpromote.com/gwinnettdailypost. The event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Oct. 9 and 10 at Gwinnett Center, meeting room 6ABC, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth.
Topics covered include: your business on a storefront website; using Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Four Square and other social media; how to move your business higher in search results; how to accomplish goals without consuming a large amount of your time.
According to statistics, 93 percent of consumers use online searches at some point in the shopping process; and 51 percent of all online searches are done on a mobile device and less than 5 percent of businesses are mobile enhanced and could be getting left behind.
Sprout Baby Food moves to Duluth
DULUTH -- Chef-created organic baby and toddler foods, Sprout Baby Food, has announced it moved the company's headquarters to Duluth, and the change has been pivotal in the businesses' success.
Fifteen-year Food Network veteran, Tyler Florence, a chef, author and father of three, said he was inspired to create Sprout organic baby food by his friends with children. As a chef, Florence said he couldn't understand the lack of flavor in baby food.
According to a news release, "this started the creation of a pure, nutritious, delicious baby food in a reclosable pouch that you can take with you anywhere."
