LAWRENCEVILLE -- A Lawrenceville woman is being held without bond on aggravated assault charges after police say she stabbed her boyfriend in his chest.
Early Saturday morning, Gwinnett police were called to a house in the 1700 block of Coleville Oak Lane in Lawrenceville, where witnesses staying at the home told officers they were awakened by the victim screaming in pain.
Before he was transported to a local hospital, the victim, Sherod Davis, 25, was able to tell officers that his live-in girlfriend, Natasha Quander, 44, stabbed him, according to a police report. His injuries were not believed to be fatal.
Davis and Quander were having an argument, when she suddenly retrieved a knife and stabbed him in the chest, the report states. Davis had fled by the time police arrived but was captured later Saturday, records show.
The knife was not recovered, the report states.
Quander is scheduled for a probable cause hearing Oct. 11 in Gwinnett Magistrate Court.
