The Atlanta all-star team from Hamilton Mill Golf Course took second place at the PGA Junior Golf Championship on Sept. 14-16 at Cog Hill in Chicago.
The team was runner-up to a team from San Francisco at the national championship. Each team played three head-to-head matches with the title decided by best overall record. The Atlanta All-stars finished 2-1 with an overall score of 23. They were 6-0 in the regular season and champions of the Mid-Atlantic region.
Highlights from the championship included Alex Markham and Jacob Bayer shooting 22-under in 27 holes. Cameron Stokes also hit a 271-yard drive in the driving contest.
JonEric Alford, Jordan Rodriguez, Bayer, Markham and Luka Karaulic were all returning players from last year's national championship team.
