LAWRENCEVILLE -- The unlicensed driver killed in a single-vehicle crash in Norcross last week was likely under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Gwinnett County police have identified 24-year-old Jose Coronado Moheno as the driver of the black Nissan Altima that crashed on Steve Reynolds Boulevard just before 8 a.m. Friday. According to a preliminary report, Cornado Moheno was driving north on Steve Reynolds Boulevard when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed southbound lanes and crashed into a guardrail.
The vehicle continued down an embankment, police said. Coronado Moheno, a Lawrenceville resident was dead at the scene.
According to authorities, "speed and alcohol appeared to be contributing factors in the collision." The portion of Steve Reynolds Boulevard in question -- between Club Drive and International Boulevard -- has a posted speed limit of 45 mph.

At least he did not take out any innocent lives. If all drunk driving incidents ended like this the world would be a better place.
