Former Air Force and Wesleyan standout Chad Hall was signed this week to the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad.
The 5-foot-8, 187-pounder is expected to fill San Francisco's void at punt returner. The third-year NFL player also is a wide receiver/running back.
Hall, 26, played in 15 total games for the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, returning 10 punts for 107 yards. His best receiving season was 2010 with 11 catches for 115 yards.
