LAWRENCEVILLE -- Adonaijah Foundation, a nonprofit organization has scheduled a "Taste of Christmas" event Sunday at 550 Trackside on Clayton Street with proceeds to benefit local college students in need of scholarships.
The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will include cuisines and dishes from several restaurants located in Central Gwinnett. Entertainment includes a musical stage production titled "The Awakening of Scrooge," written and directed by Janice Sinclaire.
The production will be performed by the students of Gerard Preparatory School's fine arts department and will also include local Screen Actor Guild members who have donated their time to the cause.
Expected to attend are Lawrenceville Mayor Judy Jordan Johnson, District Court Judge Kathy Schrader, and Antron Pippen, son of NBA great Scottie Pippen.
All proceeds will benefit local music and arts programs and go toward scholarships for local college students.
