Anna Karenina (R) Director Joe Wright teams with leading lady Kiera Knightley ("Pride and Prejudice," "Atonement") for a third time in this unorthodox yet engaging version of the classic Tolstoy novel. 3 stars -- Michael Clark
Life of Pi (PG-13) Director Ang Lee's adaptation of the best-selling novel practically defies categorization. A dramatic adventure with elements of suspense and fantasy is presented in perfectly realized 3-D and also appeals to all ages and tastes. 3 -1/2 stars -- MC
Red Dawn (PG-13) If you take into account production values only, this "Red Dawn" is better than the 1984 original but is no less cheesy, far-fetched, politically slanted and inept. 2 stars -- MC
