10 Years comes to Buford

BUFORD -- You may have missed the Tennessee alternative group since the last time they have toured, fret not because 10 Years is back to play for one night.

The band is performing at 8 p.m. Monday at 37 Main in Buford. 10 Years is promoting the release of its latest album "Minus the Machine," featuring the songs "Backlash," "Writing on the Walls" and the title track.

In 2005, 10 Years released their gold-certified debut album "The Autumn Effect," garnering the band a loyal fan base.

According to the band, it finds its niche in performing in club settings.

"We don't plan to chase after arena rock or amphitheatres," said lead vocalist Jesse Hasek, according to the band's website. "If things like that happen, then so be it, but we live and die by the loyalty of club audiences."

For those of you who are die-hard fanatics for the group, you can enter a contest, even if you're not attending the show. "Rebel Ink Magazine" wants to see your 10 Years inspired tattoos.

The band picks top winners for most creative, most colorful and creative location on the body. Each winner wins an autographed CD and a prize pack of 10 Years merchandise.

The grand prize winner for best tattoo walks away with the same prizes listed above, a vinyl copy of "Minus the Machine," one year subscription for "Rebel Ink" and two tickets when the band plays in your hometown, plus a meet and greet with the guys.
