Berkmar grad Wesley Witherspoon, a rookie out of Memphis, was traded this week between a pair of NBA Developmental League teams. The Rio Grande Valley Vipers acquired the 6-foot-9 forward from the Austin Toros.
Witherspoon played with the San Antonio Spurs in training camp, appearing in three preseason games and scoring 17 points in a win over the Houston Rockets. He averaged 8.2 points and 3.7 rebounds during his Memphis career.
