PREP ROUNDUP: Rogers scores school-record 30 for Archer in win

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Kayla Rogers scored a school-record 30 points for Archer, including nine 3-pointers, in a 65-37 win over South Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Madison Newby had 22 points, seven assists and five steals for the Tigers (3-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAAAAA). Morgan Jackson had seven points, five rebounds and three steals, and Cii Cii Marseille collected seven rebounds.

Colette Onenda led the Comets (3-2, 0-1) with 15 points.

Archer hosts Grayson on Friday.

North 66, Mountain View 26

SUWANEE -- Peyton Whitted scored 18 points Tuesday to lead North Gwinnett past Mountain View 66-26.

Lexie Brown scored 17 points and had eight assists for the Bulldogs (2-0, 1-0 Region 7-AAAAAA), and Baylee Rexing added 14 points.

Parkview 57, Berkmar 35

LILBURN -- Parkview stayed undefeated Tuesday with a 57-35 win over rival Berkmar.

Genesis Perrymond led the Panthers (4-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAAAAA) with 15 points. Marissa Mandeldove added 10 points.

Dacula 58, Grayson 30

LOGANVILLE -- Four players hit double figures for Dacula in a 58-30 win over Grayson on Tuesday.

Jonnae Johnson led the Falcons (2-1) with 13 points and six steals, followed by Anazjah Mayes with 12 points and five steals.

Faustine Aifuwa had 11 points, seven blocks and six rebounds, and Star Toomey had 10 points and five rebounds.

Collins Hill 59, Meadowcreek 42

NORCROSS -- Collins Hill hit its free throws down the stretch to hold off Meadowcreek 59-42 on Tuesday.

The Eagles (3-1, 1-0 Region 7-AAAAAA) were led by Marissa Bayer's 18 points and eight rebounds, Julianne Bayer's 12 points and five rebounds and Brittany Stowers' 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Courtney Fields led the Mustangs (1-4, 0-1) with 18 points, three rebounds and two steals. Angel Alexander added 17 points, five rebounds, three steals, three assists and two blocks.

Holy Innocents' 52, Providence 17

ATLANTA -- Holy Innocents' defeated Providence 52-17 on Tuesday.

North 60, Mountain View 34

SUWANEE -- Owen Lewis recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead North Gwinnett past Mountain View 60-34 on Tuesday.

Malik Carter had 13 points, and T.J. Howard had 10 points for the Bulldogs (3-0).

Hebron 64, East Jackson 56

DACULA -- Tyler Skidgel scored 16 points to lead Hebron past East Jackson 64-56 on Tuesday.

Tyler Matthews scored 13 points, and Noah Herrin scored 10 for the Lions (2-2).

Berkmar 66, Parkview 36

LILBURN -- Malcolm Hannah scored 24 points in Berkmar's 66-36 win over rival Parkview on Tuesday.

Tim Rowe added 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Patriots (2-0).

Cedar Shoals 55, Apalachee 50

ATHENS -- Apalachee fell in its region opener to Cedar Shoals 55-50 on Tuesday.

Cameron Blakley led the Wildcats (2-1, 0-1 Region 8-AAAAA) with 14 points, followed by Kamar Baldwin's 12 points.

Cedar Shoals improved to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the region with the win.

Apalachee next plays Clarke Central at home Friday.

Collins Hill 82, Meadowcreek 66

NORCROSS -- Darius Joell had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead Collins Hill past Meadowcreek 82-66 on Tuesday.

Johncarlos Reyes had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles (3-2, 1-0 Region 7-AAAAAA). Devin Mitchell scored 12 points, and Awbrey Rucker scored 11.

Buford 59, Milton 41

MILTON -- Kyle Doyle scored 22 points to lead Buford past defending Class AAAAAA state champion Milton 59-41 on Tuesday.

A.J. Davis added 15 points for the Wolves (1-1), who will next play at Eagle's Landing on Saturday.

Brookwood 77, Central 64

SNELLVILLE -- Kendall Joseph scored 23 points in Brookwood's 77-64 win Tuesday over Central Gwinnett.

Deion Dedeaux had 16 points and eight assists, and Kahlil Abdullah had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Broncos (4-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAAAAA).

The Black Knights (3-2, 0-1) were led by Shaun Jones with 20 points. Michael Vos-Otin had 13 points, and Brian Egejuru had 12 points.

Peachtree Ridge 74, Habersham Central 59

SUWANEE -- Four players hit double digits in Peachtree Ridge's 74-59 win over Habersham Central on Tuesday.

Aaron Augustin had 13 points to lead the Lions (3-2, 1-0 Region 7-AAAAAA), and Amir Warnock had 12 points.

Brandon Johnson and Jordan Capps each scored 10 points.

Grayson 50, Dacula 49 (OT)

LOGANVILLE -- Grayson topped Dacula 50-49 in overtime on Tuesday.

Marquise Lanier scored 18 points for the Rams (3-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAAAAA) to lead all scorers.
