VIDEO: Walmart says no one hurt in frenzy at Ga. store

MOULTRIE — Walmart says no one was injured in a frenzy over a Black Friday deal at one of its stores in south Georgia.

A video of the incident circulating online shows a large crowd of people pushing, yelling and grabbing boxes off a shelf at the store in Moultrie.

Walmart spokesman Randy Hargrove says a deal on a cell phone with a prepaid, unlimited usage plan "led to excitement among our customers." He called the incident unfortunate, but said it was isolated.

He says staff and security were on hand at the store to handle the situation and that no injuries were reported and no one was escorted from the store.

Would you just look at all those "oh so thankful" people there! Doesn't that just make you want to jump in your car and go down there and join in on all the fun?

Kevin.....are we reading the same story? This had nothing to do with the planned protests....this was just a mob of crazed shoppers. Read the entire story next time....your post will make more sense then.

If Walmart prices are always so low, why kill yourselves on Black Friday. Where is our White Friday?

I'm in good company, stronzo, knowing that General Powell voted for Obama and he knows what he was talking about.

You don't how these people voted; you think you do but you don't. And even if all of them voted for Obama so what? It's not the first time these kind of frenzy happens. Also, don't you think that some Republicans do this too?

I've never gone shopping in a store in Black Friday, I do it online.

From FactCheck.org:

Q: Has the Obama administration started a program to use "taxpayer money" to give free cell phones to welfare recipients?

A: No. Low-income households have been eligible for discounted telephone service for more than a decade. But the program is funded by telecom companies, not by taxes, and the president has nothing to do with it.

Welfare recipients, and others, can receive a free cell phone, but the program is not funded by the government or taxpayer money and it’s hardly new.

There are millions of Obama voters just like this lady. She started the popular myth, so you can blame the original messenger (pictured below). Your support of the Walmart "free for all" puts you all in that same category. The stories like this are just going to continue to make you look bad. Expect more of the same ... :)

"She started the popular myth". Here you admit this is fake. "so you can blame the original messenger". Two things here: she didn't start this, it goes back to an e-mail rumor in 2009 and you share responsibility in spreading a falsehood.
