Brookwood kicker Brandon Morrow won online voting this week as the Daily Post's Fans Choice Player of the Week.
The senior got 48 percent of the vote to win a competition with Greater Atlanta Christian's Micah Abernathy (30 percent), Mill Creek's Jacorey Lewis (18 percent) and Norcross' Alvin Kamara (3 percent).
Each week during the football season, the Daily Post will nominate four players for its Fans Choice Player of the Week. Online voting at www.gwinnettprepsports.com will begin Monday mornings and will end Thursdays at noon. The winner will be featured online and in the Friday print edition.
Morrow got the honor after kicking three field goals in a first-round playoff win over No. 1 Lassiter. He ended the game with a 32-yard, game-winning field goal in overtime.
"Brandon has done a great job for us all season," Brookwood head coach Mark Crews said. "He's hit 12 of 13 attempts. We've had several games where he kept us close or hit clutch field goals to help us win. He made two long ones on Friday to keep us in it, and when we intercepted the ball in overtime, I didn't hesitate. I and the rest of the team had confidence in letting Brandon kick the field goal on first down to win the game. He did an outstanding job."
