Mill Creek sophomore Phillip Beard was the low medalist at last week's Atlanta Open, an All-American Junior Golf Tour stop at the Trophy Club of Atlanta. He shot 78 and 74 in the tourney's boys high school division.
Duluth's Benjamin Shipp, a Greater Atlanta Christian freshman, shot 82-77 and finished sixth. Duluth's Austin Coleman (84-81) tied for 10th.
