DULUTH -- A free educational breakfast hosted by the Gwinnett Chamber and Gwinnett Medical Center next month is designed to raise awareness for prostate cancer, the second-leading cause of cancerous deaths in men after lung cancer.
For men between the ages of 50 and 74, or who have a family history of the disease, the event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Dec. 6.
It will be on the third floor of the Chamber at 6500 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
The program will feature a health presentation by Dr. Ronald Anglade, a GMC-affiliated and board-certified urologist. Topics scheduled to be covered include what is the prostate, what is prostate cancer, how common is it, risks and symptoms, who should be screened and diagnosis and treatment options. Space is limited and women are welcome to attend. To register, visit gmc-rsvp.org.
All attendees will be entered in a drawing for an iPad3, and will receive a voucher for a free PSA screening.
