FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Atlanta Falcons have announced the signing of offensive guard Harland Gunn after backup lineman Joe Hawley received a four-game suspension for violating NFL rules on performance-enhancing substances.
The 6-foot-2, 310-pound Gunn was picked up by the Falcons on Tuesday. Atlanta plays at Tampa Bay on Sunday. He initially signed with Dallas as a college free agent after the NFL draft. Gunn was waived by the Cowboys and joined the New Orleans Saints practice squad. He played collegiately at Miami. Hawley will be eligible to return to the roster after the Dec. 16 game against the New York Giants.-- The Associated Press

While in Helen, Ga yesterday, I saw two autographed footballs for sale. The one signed by Drew Brees sold for $199. The one signed by Matt Ryan (Falcons QB) sold for only $149. Boy, that is really saying something when the Atlanta "home boy" is not worth as much as the N.O. Saint's QB.
If the Saints didn't want this guy, that says a lot about him since they need linemen.
