Norcross' Diamond DeShields, Buford's Kaela Davis and North Gwinnett's Lexie Brown head Gwinnett's most decorated girls class ever.
All three are top 100 recruits headed to the ACC (DeShields to North Carolina, Davis to Georgia Tech and Brown to Maryland) and are veterans of USA Basketball international play. They are aiming for big senior seasons as DeShields and Davis aim for the third team state championship of their high school careers, while Brown and an improved North team is seeking their first state title.
Brown is joined on the Super Six by her teammate Peyton Whitted, a Penn State recruit, and DeShields also has a Super Six teammate in Shayla Cooper, who has signed with Georgetown. Wesleyan's Katie Frerking, an Auburn signee whose team has won state every year of her high school career, also earned the prestigious honor this season.
The Super Six also has two members of the same family as A.J. Davis, Kaela's twin brother, is on the boys list. A.J. has signed with Tennessee.
The senior-heavy boys Super Six also features Peachtree Ridge's Jordan Capps, Norcross' Brandon Goodwin, Archer's Randall Smith and Greater Atlanta Christian's Delano Spencer. The only junior on the Super Six is heavily recruited Shiloh junior Trayvon Reed, a 7-foot-1 center.

Congratulations to Lexi Brown and Peyton Whitted for being selected as members of the 2012 Super Six Girls' Basketball Players in Gwinnett County! Good luck to these Lady Bulldogs as they lead their North Gwinnett High School basketball team to the state championship. Go Lady Bulldogs!
