ATLANTA (AP) — Residents needing a driver's license can now check wait times at local offices of the Georgia Department of Driver Services.
The department's web site now tracks the average time spent waiting in line at its 64 customer service locations. DDS Commissioner Rob Mikell said in a statement that the system will allow drivers to make an informed choice about when to head to the office.
Officials use the last two weeks of data to forecast expected wait times. Those forecasts will be updated regularly.
The information shows that Tuesday tends to be the busiest.
